Counseling with Becky Cox, LPC (she/her)

At times it can be difficult to navigate stressors and changes that make us feel out of control. Life can become overwhelming and we hesitate to reach out for help or don’t know where to start. Anxiety, depression, unfulfilling relationships, conflict, negative thoughts, loss of what feels like normal are more common than you might think! Therapy is about a connection between therapist and client – a positive relationship with someone who can help you navigate the rough spots, build skills, and gain tools for better living. You are the expert on your life - I look forward to meeting you and walking alongside you as you journey to wellness.

Approach to Counseling

My approaches to counseling are person-centered and include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, along with a psychodynamic/systemic theoretical base. Going to therapy is hard. My job is to make it easy for you to implement skills that can help with your daily struggles.

I have worked with adults, adolescents, children (ages 6-12), families, couples and groups. I help people with anxiety, depression, conflict, grief and loss, life transitions, role conflicts and substance use disorders. I assist my clients to identify their strengths, build skills, and look at life from a different perspective to help them to function better.
