Kaitlyn Schmitz, LMSW (she/her)
I primarily work with teenagers (ages 13-18), young adults, and adults. I have experience in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life stressors and changes, self-doubt, body image issues, low self-esteem, and those who may feel lost and do not know where to start. I have a special passion for those who have experienced trauma, specifically those who have experienced sexual assault and/or domestic violence. Although those are my passions, I enjoy working with individuals from all walks of life and I strive to create a space where you feel safe, welcomed, and supported.
More About Kaitlyn Schmitz, LMSW
I use a client-centered, empowerment, and trauma-informed approach in therapy. I feel it is important to work together because you know yourself best. I have received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
It can be difficult to talk to someone about what is going on in your life. My goal is to be that person for you. Everyone deserves a safe space to unapologetically be themselves and receive the care and support they deserve. It is my goal to provide a safe space for you to begin your therapeutic journey and I would love to support you along the way.
