Betsie Little, LMSW (they/them/fae/faer)

Hi, my name is Betsie and I use they/them pronouns. As a licensed clinical social worker, I aim to actively listen and understand each client's unique story, journey, and needs. Therapy can be a helpful space to process and explore the past, present, and future to develop new insights, skills, or change patterns that may not serve your highest self. In session, I promote an unconditional positive regard for each person so that we can leave judgment and shame at the door. Through rapport building and a secure therapeutic alliance, clients can benefit in processing and exploring past emotional and psychological wounds.

More About Betsie Little, LMSW

I primarily work with adult clients (18+), and I specialize in working with those experiencing anxiety, and depression, LBGTIAP2S+ experiences/exploration of identities, adjusting to changes in life, and processing recent, historical, and generational trauma. I am particularly passionate about working alongside trauma survivors of sexual violence, intimate partner violence, religious/spiritual trauma, and adult survivors of childhood abuse/neglect from parents/caregivers. As a trauma-informed clinician, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, Trauma-Focused Forward Facing Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, and Internal Family Systems. These modalities along with an eclectic combination of therapeutic art interventions, self-regulation, and breathing exercises, offer clients a range of options in any session for treatment planning.

I often say in therapy that we can laugh as much as we cry in session, and every emotion is welcomed to be understood in our work together. I believe with vulnerability, curiosity, and time a client can leave sessions with a greater insight to promote their values and goals in their daily life outside of therapy.
